If you're following me, you're likely familiar with a short little visual novel I whipped up for Madness Day 2021. This was my first ever attempt at coding anything and on top of that it was rushed to make the deadline, and it shows. Despite its programming flaws, stiff artwork, short playtime, etc- a lot of you still really, really enjoyed this little project of mine. It managed to get frontpaged, gave me a decent handful of followers on here, and still gets reviews almost every day. As of typing this, it's sitting at a good 32,000 views, 600 faves, 900 votes, and 250 reviews. That may not seem like a ton, but to me, that is... so much more than I ever expected.

Out of those reviews, a good handful of them are asking for a sequel or an extension of some kind. At first I was hesitant to add on to the game, but there's so much content I cut out either do to lack of time or skill. I have a bunch of free time to kill, so why not make a full version of the game? I have a few friends who are willing to help out, but in order to make this as great as it can be I'll need a few more helping hands on board.

We're looking for a few volunteers who have some experience with creative writing, coding in Ren'Py or Python, music writing, and art. If you're interested, feel free to either comment or send me a DM with an introduction and some examples of your work. Keep in mind that this is just a fun little project primarily being created by a few teenagers, so unfortunately we're unable to pay in anything but pride, glory, and your name in the credits. Sorry!

At the moment our little team has been communicating via Discord server, and we'd like to keep it that way! Of course if need be I can always just contact you through NG messages, but if you do have Discord please mention that in your intro! Just an "I have Discord" will do, we'll ask you for your tag when the time comes!

I'm interested on the art part, I want to help others with it, the better part is that I'm going to be on vacations next month so I'll have plenty of time (also, I have discord)

I played the visual novel game few months ago and damn it was nice! I'd be down to join as a writer or artist, but I need to know if there's a specific deadline to follow or if there are standards required for skill >:)))

No deadlines! This time around we're doing everything on our own time. For writing, there aren't exactly any standards, we just need to know that you're good with coming up with dialogue and would be able to bring some plot ideas to the table. As for art, we're sticking with the pixel/MS paint aesthetic (it can be done in either MS paint itself or any program with pixel art options) so you'd need to be comfortable with that. If you're interested in spritework, we're looking for decent expressions as well as fluidity. Preferably we'd like if you can recreate art styles so nothing looks too out of place, but this isn't anything professional! We don't mind a collab type of look, since... it is technically a collab! If you'd be interested in backdrops or making buttons and assets, we'd just like to see what you can do! Thank you so much for the support!!

@vhsdreamland Yeah I have MS paint and also can handle with pixels, as long as it's not too realistic, but playing your game long ago I don't think realism is necessary :)

I could do art well but I still suck at pixels + not really used to using MS Paint as a medium(I could try practice LMAO), aaand I have some plot ideas in mind and know how to come up with dialogue. To make it more convenient, we can talk this through in Discord if ur ok with it (and plus I'll show examples of my work) B)
